About Turn Over… Sunday 30 March 2008, 2-6pm

Turn Over the Page… is the Shoreditch response to the Book Trust’s Get London Reading Challenge. It has been invented by four local Shoreditch groups :

On Sunday 30 March 2008 (2-6pm) Turn Over the Page.. will provide the chance to Find a Book, Hear A Book,  Swap a Book Eat a Book …  There will be all kinds of opportunities and activities to enjoy and celebrate books and the spoken word. 
At each venue, writers, performers and local people will present a series of workshops for all ages. These include historian Dan Cruickshank, writer/presenter Michael Palin, author and poet, Bernard Kops, historian Martha Leigh, author Deborah Moggach, TV cook Manju Malhi, children’s author Coral Rumble and many more.
You can folow the pavement marks and join our book trail easily.
 And if the weather is bad, we will put alternative plans into operation.
Normal directions are as follows, but there are road works this weekend on Shoreditch High Street that will affect bus routes. Contact London Transport  www.tfl.gov.uk or 020 7222 1234 for advice.  
Buses:  Number 8 and 388 – get off at the Brick Lane stop on Bethnal Green Road, and you are two minutes from Rhoda Street Green site (site no. 1 on the map) Numbers 26, 48, 149, 242 and get off at Calvert Avenue and you are two minutes from Arnold Circus, St Hilda’s and the Wonder Garden. (sites 4, 3 and 2 on the map)  Or  take 55 or 243 bus to Shoreditch Town Hall and turn right to Calvert Avenue leading to Arnold Circus etc.
Tubes:  Aldgate East (District, Hammersmith and City); Liverpool St (National Rail) (Central, Circle, Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan); Old Street (Northern)
